Space between backplate and back?

Jikawa

Concept
Hello guys. So i have recently mounted my hard parts on the vest, and have also gotten to the backplate attachment as well.
However i noticed there is a good amount of space between my back and the backplate, giving the illusion of a "hunchback" (see pictures attached). Is this normal? I know some people with OT Fetts overlap the collar piece over the backplate tabs, but i am striving for accuracy as seen in Mando series. Am also playing with the idea of trimming away a little material from the backplate tab (maybe 1/4 inch), so that the backplate is closer to my back.

Any thoughts or ideas? Thanks

Agree.... could maybe take a bit off the backplate edges, and that should pull it in a bit?? Be careful though...it's easy to take material off, but hard to put it back on if you don't like it!!!!! Honestly though, to me it looks pretty dang good...I don't think you look like a hunchback!!! 😉

I wouldn’t change anything especially if you aren’t getting cocked by the collar armor because if you do take it down it can get pretty tight once that jetpack gets on! Also it looks good to me and I have the same hump going on when I suit up!

Thanks Fett veterans, for the feedback! I am going to work on the harness plate and webbing first, and see how everything fits together when worn.

With that being a resin harness be extremely careful hooking your jetpack up to it because there is a high possibility that will snap and send that pack tumbling

Thanks Spicy Fett for the reminder! Luckily it is fiberglass, so it should be quite sturdy.
Loving all the feedbacks and guidances from you Fett vets! (y)
