ESB EE3 Build - Found parts

Yo yo, got a question that I would welcome opinions on.

I'm looking to put my EE3 together. It's found parts, where known, but I'd like views on the following:

Real MPP tube or Replica Tube - Roman's?

The issues:

The MPP is small B port.
The Roman's is, well, a Roman's - a replica.

The Roman's has the right sized hole, but it's a replica; I'll always know.

The MPP is an MPP, but, of course, it doesn't look exactly right.

To be honest, there are already a number of compromises with my build for this, which I will lay bare when I get further along, but I'd like your thoughts.

Some of you will understand why this is even an issue, and some won't. I understand both positions on that.

Thoughts?

A valid question, and one I explored a while back. Specifically, I asked CT, among others, and the consensus was it could go horribly wrong. The chrome could easily chip and flake. That doesn't mean it can't be done, just that it was a very real possibility. Funnily enough, a tiny spot of chrome has flaked on my Roman's replica tube.

I've not ever held a real mpp in my hand, but I did attempt to make one of a chromed tube a few years back, and what you described is exactly what happened!! I was dremeling slots and a Big flake of chrome popped off. Seems risky to me!!

Exactly, so if it's the MPP then it has to stay as it is. However, you guys all seem of a mind, and I think I'm in agreement with you all. My ultimate rationalisation was this:

If it was another item, e.g. the Nemrod holster, would I rather have a real one with the incorrect ribbed clasp, or would I rather have one if the now excellent replicas that have managed to integrate the clasp, per the original design? I'd choose the real one.

Thanks chaps.

I ended up going this exact route!! Mine has the rubber ribbed strap....but it's a real nemrod!
